Academic Excellence: Dr. Poyeri Challenges Students to Strive for Greatness
In a bid to promote academic excellence and raise awareness about HIV/AIDS, the Executive Assistant to the Bayelsa State Government on NYSC, Dr. Wisdom Richard Poyeri visited the Gbaranowei Grammar School in Okolobiri today. The event was part of an HIV Testing and Sensitization program initiated by National Youth Service Corp member Nwachukwu Samuel.
During the program, Dr. Poyeri emphasized the importance of education, urging the students to take their academic pursuits seriously. He stressed the need for focus, resilience, and determination in achieving academic success.
Dr. Poyeri commended Corp member Nwachukwu Samuel for his initiative and commitment to raising awareness about HIV/AIDS among young people. He encouraged the students to make informed decisions about their health and well-being.
In his message, the corp member, Nwachukwu Samuel thanked Dr. Poyeri for gracing the program and for the wonderful teaching to the students.
In a separate speech, the Sustainable Development Goal (SDGs) Coordinator, Bayelsa State, Mr. Onwudiwe Simeon praised the Executive Assistance to the Governor, Dr. Wisdom Poyeri for his insightful lecture, stressing that the students are enriched with it.
The HIV Testing and Sensitization program aimed to educate students about the risks associated with HIV/AIDS, promote safe practices, and provide free testing services.
The event was well-attended by students, teachers, and community members.
